Pilgrim Lutheran Church believes that music is an integral part of worship. Through music God is glorified, the Word is lifted and the Liturgy is enhanced. We offer a variety vocal and instrumental opportunities for everyone. Whether you've had years of training or can't read a note of music you are welcome.
Under the direction of Susan Cafferty, this ensemble sings a variety of musical styles including traditional, classical, gospel, spirituals, and blended contemporary. The choir sings for Sunday morning worship, Advent and Lenten services, and special occasions. Each year this group presents a Christmas Cantata and a Tenebrae Service. Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic this dedicated group of singers has continued to provide virtual choral works weekly.
This newly expanded group of musicians provides a variety of contemporary songs and praise and worship choruses. The Praise Band plays live during our in person Sunday morning worship services and other special occasions.
No experience necessary! Handbells is a fun way to be involved in music ministry. This ensemble performs monthly during our in person Sunday morning worship service.
Not everyone is a singer. At Pilgrim all musicians are encouraged to share their talents. Many choral works feature instrumentalists. Additionally, there are opportunities for soloists and chamber ensembles to play during our worship services. All skill levels are welcome!
