A Steward is someone who manages another's property or financial affairs. At Pilgrim we strive to be good stewards of God’s blessings to us: Time, Talent and Treasures. God expects us to share offerings he has so freely given us to further His ministries.
Time and Talents
We share our time and talents when we participate in the many ministries at Pilgrim Lutheran. You can enhance our worship service by joining the praise band, choir or handbells. You can help us reach those worshiping from home by joining the AV ministry. Greeters, Ushers, Lectors and Worship Assistants are vital to a meaningful worship service. Other ministry teams that support our congregation and community include the Music and Worship Committee, the Property Committee, the Children's and Youth Ministries, the Community Committee and the Prayer Shawl Ministry, to name just a few. Where will you give freely of your time and talents?
Treasures
By sharing our treasures we ensure that the mortgage and utilities are paid, that the AV equipment is up to date and working. We also support the staff required to meet the needs of our congregation and community. Our weekly and monthly tithes support not only the ministries and outreach programs at Pilgrim but also ministries and missions in our community and throughout the world.
Please remember, we are like funnels. God continuously pours blessings in. As these blessings flow through us and are freely given to meet the needs around us God rewards us with even more blessings. When we block the funnel and keep these blessing for ourselves we prevent Him from pouring more on top. The more we let His gifts flow through us, the more He pours on top. We cannot out give God!
